SICA's Poems for Peace began here in Austin and has now spread to many other countries. Visit the "Write Your Own" section of SICA's Poems for Peace site for ideas and inspirations to create your own Poems for Peace. You can also publish your poems online or turn them into chapbooks. Or they can adorn Peace Lanterns, or Pinwheels for Peace, or Peace Flags.
The Peace Crane Project is designed to connect children around the world through the arts. Learn more about the Peace Crane Project here. Check out the latest news on their Facebook page. Watch them on YouTube. Then, sign up your school or community group.
Kids for Peace's mission is to cultivate every child’s innate ability to foster peace through cross-cultural experiences and hands-on arts, service and environmental projects. Lots of great activities here. They also sponsor trainings for those who wish to help grow Kids for Peace Chapters in their own communities. Learn More.
Postcards For Peace is the very simple idea of sending messages of peace, non-violence, hope, support and love around the world on postcards. The postcards also promote and celebrate the work of organisations working towards peace and non-violence. A PEACE ONE DAY PROJECT.
